convicted murder receives the death penalty

The state of Oklahoma is executed Richard Rojem today at the State Penitentiary in McAlester.  He was convicted and sentenced to death for the July 1984 kidnapping, rape and murder of his 7-year-old former stepdaughter, Layla Cummings, in Washita County. Her body was later found along the road in Burns Flat.
