A change in the makeup of the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority governing board may mean more transparency in the way it is run.
Now, Oklahoma’s Governor, Kevin Stitt, will appoint two of the six board members. Additionally, OTA is being sued for violating Open Meeting statutes.
A lawsuit by over 200 property owners in Norman claimed the OTA’s agendas were vague on turnpike projects. The court also ruled that OTA gave sufficient notice of the agenda.
