Tulsa, OK Fundraiser Launched to Provide Tulsa Race Massacre Survivor with a Home

The Oldest Living Survivor’s Story

At 111 years old, Mother Viola Ford Fletcher is the oldest living survivor of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. Currently, she shares a room in a senior living facility with fellow survivor, 110-year-old Mother Lessie Randle.

Campaign Goals and Needs

The initiative, A Home to Inherit, launched last week with a goal of raising $1 million. Funds will be used to purchase a home in Fletcher’s name and provide:

  • 24-hour in-home care

  • Medical equipment to support her daily needs

  • A legacy of independence and dignity

Why It Matters

The campaign symbolizes not only justice for Fletcher but also recognition of survivors whose lives were forever altered by the destruction of Greenwood.
