Budget for Next State Government Fiscal Year to be Conducted in Public

The powerful State Senate Appropriations Committee is doing something that hasn’t been done before. The process of building a budget for the state government’s next fiscal year is being conducted in public. 

After removing one-time funds and dedicated dollars, the panel is starting its budget-building process with 11.6 billion dollars to spend.
