Boley Black Rodeo Prepares for Next Year’s Event with Renovations

By the time the Black Rodeo in Boley comes next Memorial Day, the arena where it is held should have a new face. Henrietta Hicks says donations are being taken, and bids are being accepted for renovations to the 40-acre property.

Boley has about a thousand residents in Okfuskee County, but ten times that number will be in town for the next Black Rodeo.
