The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation has produced a map to help people understand where the largest populations of black bears are located.  That is mostly in eastern Oklahoma, but the bears have been spotted in central region and in northwestern parts of the panhandle. This time of year the bears are moving, adults looking to mate, and yearlings are out stretching their legs.
