Bill Aims to cease the Sharing of Sexual Images without consent

During a House rules committee meeting, a modification to the crime of sharing sexual images removes the need to identify the person in the picture or their age. The bill states that anyone who shares sexual images without consent three or more times within six months is guilty of a felony and will face up to ten years in prison.

 

House Representative Toni Hasenbeck says this is a problem in Oklahoma.

 

“We have had children in the state of Oklahoma commit suicide and attempt suicide because 56-year-old men posing as teenage children have talked these kids into sending images…,” Hasenbeck said.
