Animal Seizure in Creek County Removes Dozens From Single Property

An animal seizure in Creek County led to the removal of at least 60 animals from a home over the weekend, following concerns about living conditions and animal welfare.

Volunteers with the Tulsa County Humane Society, working alongside local authorities, seized cats, dogs, horses, exotic birds, and emus from the property.

Animal seizure in Creek County triggers medical evaluations

Each animal underwent an initial medical evaluation to assess health, nutrition, and immediate care needs. Humane officials say mixed-species overcrowding can increase the risk of disease transmission and injury.

According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), large-scale animal seizures often require weeks or months of rehabilitation.

Investigation remains ongoing

Authorities have not released information about potential charges. Officials say the investigation will continue as veterinarians and animal welfare teams complete assessments.
