Officials say:

• The man, identified as Kevin Odom, was located by officers

• As officers attempted to make contact, he reportedly produced a firearm

• An officer-involved shooting followed

Odom was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts. No officers or bystanders were injured.
