The attorney general’s office claims OMES Director Rick Rose blocked vehicles meant for the Organized Crime Task Force. Officials say those vehicles would have been used to crack down on illegal marijuana grow operations.

Drummond: Politics Interfering With Law Enforcement

Attorney General Gentner Drummond issued a press release criticizing the governor’s office for political interference.

“This refusal undermines law enforcement and jeopardizes public safety,” Drummond said.

Rose Resigning Amid Growing Criticism

The allegation comes just as Rose prepares to step down as head of OMES, one of several high-level resignations hitting state government.
