30 Earthquakes Reported Near Minco

MINCO, Okla. — The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed 30 earthquakes of magnitude 1.0 or greater have shaken the Minco area in just one week. The strongest reached 2.8 magnitude on Thursday.

State Regulators Halt Well Operations

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) says a nearby well was nearing completion when the swarm began. As a precaution, all operations have been stopped while experts review data.

Residents Urged to Report Earthquake Damage

Minco has dealt with elevated seismic activity since 2015. Regulators are asking residents to report any cracks or structural damage linked to the recent swarm.
