Viral Oklahoma Bodycam Video Shows Burglary Suspect Diving Headfirst Through Glass Window

A viral Oklahoma bodycam video is drawing national attention after a burglary suspect made a Hollywood-style escape by diving headfirst through a closed glass window. The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office released footage showing Rayven Wooten fleeing a deputy inside a vacant home near Britton and Harrah roads. The October 1 incident gained widespread attention after the footage circulated online on October 13, 2026.

Deputies had responded to a reported burglary in progress involving suspected copper theft when an officer encountered Wooten inside the home's kitchen. After being ordered to get on his knees, Wooten suddenly ran around a corner and launched himself through the window, shattering the glass.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office shared footage of the encounter, showing the deputy issuing commands before the suspect abruptly fled.

Rather than attempting to open a door or window, Wooten appeared to dive directly through the glass, sending shattered pieces flying as he disappeared outside.

The extraordinary escape quickly became an internet talking point, with the footage attracting attention well beyond Oklahoma.

Despite the dramatic nature of the video, deputies were responding to a criminal investigation involving a reported break-in at an unoccupied residence.

Suspect Leaves Driver's License Behind After Escape

The escape had one significant problem for the fleeing suspect.

According to investigators, Wooten abandoned a backpack containing his official driver's license at the scene, allowing authorities to identify him.

He was subsequently located and taken into custody.

Wooten reportedly faces allegations involving burglary, resisting arrest and obstructing an officer. Available case information can be checked through the Oklahoma State Courts Network.

The charges are allegations, and Wooten is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Oklahoma Sheriff's Footage Gains National Attention

The October 13 release transformed a local burglary investigation into a widely circulated internet story, largely because of the suspect's unusual escape.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office's official website provides agency information and public resources related to law enforcement operations.

Authorities have not confirmed whether Wooten suffered injuries while crashing through the window.

Although the footage has generated considerable online attention, the underlying burglary allegations remain subject to the criminal justice process.
