Tulsa Keeps Downtown Teen Curfew in Place
The Tulsa City Council unanimously extended the downtown teen curfew ordinance for another year. The measure applies from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays for anyone age 17 or younger. Councilors removed Thursdays from the curfew after reviewing city data.
Why Oklahoma’s Second-Largest City Acts
The curfew began last summer after several high-profile incidents involving teens in Tulsa’s downtown area. City officials say the extension underscores their commitment to public safety and community collaboration.
What Tulsa Teens and Families Should Know
This ordinance remains in effect through the coming year. Thursday nights no longer fall under the curfew. Council members will revisit the measure in October 2026, giving families and downtown businesses clarity for now.
