TSET Awards $150 Million in Grants to Improve Health Care Access Across Oklahoma
Leaders of 14 organizations awarded nearly $150 million in TSET grants Oklahoma gathered this week to formally launch projects aimed at improving health outcomes statewide.
The funding comes from the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET), which selected the projects from 167 proposals focused on expanding access to quality health care, particularly in rural and underserved communities.

TSET Executive Director Julie Bisbee said the grants are designed to create generational improvements rather than short-term fixes. Projects include expanding rural clinics, increasing access to preventive care, and addressing workforce shortages in health services.
TSET officials say the investments align with the trust’s constitutional mission to improve health and reduce tobacco-related disease. Information about funded initiatives is available through tset.ok.gov.

Many of the selected projects prioritize communities that struggle with limited provider access. State health leaders say the funding complements efforts by the Oklahoma State Department of Health and other agencies to reduce disparities.
TSET grants Oklahoma have previously supported cancer prevention, cardiovascular health programs, and community-based wellness initiatives. Officials say the latest round continues that legacy with a focus on sustainability.
