The Lowdown Tulsa Casting Call Announced

A television production filming in northeast Oklahoma is looking for local residents to appear on screen.

Casting directors for the FX drama “The Lowdown” are holding a The Lowdown Tulsa casting call for men in the Tulsa area to work as prison guard extras in Season 2 of the show.

The series was created by Oklahoma filmmaker Sterlin Harjo and airs on FX Networks.


The Lowdown Tulsa Casting Call Seeks Extras

The The Lowdown Tulsa casting call is seeking men age 18 and older of all ethnicities to portray prison guards.

Producers say applicants should have an athletic or muscular build and must be comfortable appearing shirtless for the role.

Those selected must also be available for filming on March 31 and for a promotional photo shoot scheduled next week.


Production Highlights Oklahoma Film Industry

Filming for the series is taking place in Tulsa and surrounding areas with support from the Oklahoma Film + Music Office and the Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts & Culture.

Officials say productions like “The Lowdown” continue to bring film jobs and spending to Oklahoma communities.

Extras selected through the The Lowdown Tulsa casting call will be paid $88 for up to eight hours of filming, with overtime possible depending on production schedules.
