The Cherokee Nation Sign a Broadband initiative

Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Junior signed an agreement to bring internet and cellphone service to nearly six thousand residents in eastern Oklahoma. The Cherokee Connect Broadband initiative was signed today in Stillwell near where one of the new towers will be built in Adair County. A total of 15 communication towers will be constructed. The project has a 45-million-dollar price tag, most of which is covered by a federal grant.
