The Cherokee Nation Increases Focus on Health Care for Members

Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation, Chuck Hoskin Jr., informed a crowd of tribal members in Texas over the weekend about plans to extend services to at-large members.

Hoskin said the wrapped-up focus includes the construction of a new hospital in Tahlequah. Hoskin added that work is being done to lower federal barriers to the way healthcare coverage is delivered.
