OU Prepares for Red River Rivalry

The Oklahoma Sooners remain ranked #6 in the AP Top 25 poll ahead of their annual Red River Rivalry matchup against Texas. The Sooners dropped one spot from last week but remain firmly in the national spotlight heading into Saturday’s showdown at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

Texas Out of Top 25

For the first time since 2022, Texas fell out of the Top 25 after losing to an unranked opponent. Meanwhile, Ohio State continues to hold the nation’s top spot.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 2:30 p.m. on ABC, and both teams are looking to make a statement as Big 12 play intensifies.

OU Honors 1985 National Champions

The Sooners will also honor the 1985 national championship team during Saturday’s game. Fans can expect to see former players on the field celebrating 40 years since OU’s sixth national title.
