shelters are overwhelmed

Animal Shelters across the state find themselves overwhelmed with strays. Add to that the larger breeds are difficult to get adopted.  Oklahoma City’s shelter is designed to hold almost 300 dogs, but currently has more than 400 dogs and 182 cats.  Officials are worried the live-release rate will fall even more unless families adopt.
