Sgt Gibson charged with aggravated assault

An Oklahoma City police officer has been charged with aggravated assault and battery over his use of force against a 71-year-old man. A video of the interaction between Sgt. Joseph Gibson and 71-year-old Lich Vu after a car crash near NW 39 and Meridian Avenue shows Gibson throwing Vu to the ground during an argument in which Vu refused to sign a ticket for an alleged improper U-turn. Vu sustained significant injuries from the so called ‘takedown’.
