An art restoration expert is now repairing damage to the Clara Luper National Sit-In Plaza in downtown Oklahoma City after vandals scratched several of the bronze statues.
Private Donors Cover Cost of Repairs
City officials say private individuals have stepped forward to cover the cost of repairs, preventing taxpayers from having to pay.
Surveillance Cameras Being Installed
To prevent future damage, new security cameras are being installed at the plaza to deter vandals and help identify suspects if additional crimes occur.
