Yes, the Poultry industry in Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma is still polluting the Illinois river watershed. The Tulsa World reports that’s the ruling from Federal judge Gregory Frizzell. The suit filed 20 years ago, and the judge ruled in favor of the states lawsuit two years ago, and he has now found that the pollution is still occurring. Nearly 56-thousand tons of poultry waste was generated just in eastern Oklahoma in 2023. There is still a final ruling to come in the lawsuit.
