Norman, OK-University of Oklahoma Sets Record Enrollment for Class of 2029
Historic Class of 2029 Welcomed
The University of Oklahoma (OU) has announced a record-breaking freshman enrollment for the fifth consecutive year. For fall 2025, OU welcomed 6,251 new freshmen, making up the Class of 2029.
OU Overall Enrollment Growth
Across all OU campuses, total enrollment has now surpassed 36,500 students, representing a 16 percent increase compared to the previous fall. University officials say the steady rise underscores OU’s appeal as both a research institution and a hub for student life.
Building on Momentum
University leaders credit recruitment efforts, strong academic programs, and expanded campus resources for driving the growth. They say the consistent increase also boosts Oklahoma’s economy by bringing more students, faculty, and research funding into the state.
OU Statement: “This continued momentum reflects the strength of our academic community and the confidence families have in choosing OU for their students’ futures.”
