A New Premium Fan Experience

Sooner fans have a new—and pricey—way to get closer to the action this season. For the first time, Oklahoma football is selling premium tickets that grant fans access to watch Head Coach Brent Venables and the players during their post-game news conferences.

The offer applies to the first three home games of the season. Prices range from $461 to $692 for two seats, depending on the game. These events take place shortly after the final whistle and give fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse into how the team reacts, analyzes, and responds to the media.

Why It’s Generating Buzz

The program blends sports and entertainment, turning what was once a media-only event into a spectator experience. Fans can:

  • See unfiltered player reactions right after big wins or tough losses

  • Hear strategic insights directly from Coach Venables

  • Watch the press field challenging—and sometimes surprising—questions

It’s part of a broader trend in college sports where programs are seeking new revenue streams and ways to deepen fan engagement.

How to Get Tickets for OU Football

Seats are limited and are sold as part of the OU Athletics premium ticket program. Interested fans should:

  • Visit the official OU Athletics ticket portal

  • Check availability for specific home games

  • Be prepared to purchase early—quantities are small and may sell out quickly

A Win for Fans—or a Pricey Gimmick?

While some fans are excited about the opportunity, others question whether the cost is justified. Still, for die-hard supporters who live and breathe OU football, this could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience worth the splurge.
