Oklahomans Begin Casting Ballots in August 12 Special Elections

Early voting is now open in 22 Oklahoma counties ahead of the upcoming August 12 special elections, according to the Oklahoma State Election Board.
Voters across the state will weigh in on a range of local issues, many of which are tied directly to education funding and school improvements.
What’s on the Ballot?
Several school districts have proposals on the ballot, including:
School bond measures
Facility upgrades
Technology and transportation funding
In Moore, voters will decide on a proposed increase to the city’s hotel tax, a move that could impact both tourism revenue and local development.
Each county has its own set of ballot measures. Voters are encouraged to review their sample ballot in advance.

When and Where to Vote Early
Early voting began Thursday, August 8 and will continue through Saturday, August 10, depending on the county. Voters should check with their local county election board for specific hours and locations.
You do not need to provide a reason to vote early in Oklahoma — any registered voter can participate.
