The chairman of the Statewide Virtual Charter School Board says the lawsuit filed this week over a religious school is only the first one.
Robert Franklin, who voted “no” when the board approved the application for the Catholic church in June, expects more lawsuits to follow. Franklin also expects additional religious groups to seek similar state support.
“It is a watershed moment across the nation in regard to how public schools work or don’t,” Franklin said.
