Holiday Donations Surge for Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma
The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma says it is witnessing what it calls a “Christmas miracle.” Bell ringers across the metro are reporting a surge in donation amounts, and this year’s Angel Tree program is generating more toys and gifts than expected.
Giving Tuesday Breaks Records Nationwide
The rise in local generosity reflects a national trend — Giving Tuesday donations surpassed $4 billion, an increase from last year and one of the strongest fundraising days ever recorded in the U.S.
More Volunteers Stepping Up
The nonprofit says it is also seeing higher volunteer turnout, providing critical support at a time when many Oklahoma families rely on holiday assistance.
Leaders say this year’s generosity will help them serve thousands of families across Central Oklahoma.
