This winter is predicted to be wetter than normal, which could mean more rain, snow, or ice. What it may also mean for consumers is electrical issues.


Oklahoma is rated at an elevated risk for electric outages during extreme winter weather this year. The state’s grid is tied to the Southwestern Power Pool, which faces two risks, according to a new report: a lack of supply during peak winter conditions and an underestimation of the demand for electricity.
