A proposed sale of the Oklahoma National Stockyards, one of the nation’s last large cattle terminal operations, has fallen through.
Rancher Chris Franklin had expressed interest in purchasing the 102-acre property and continuing its cattle sales tradition. But according to The Oklahoman, negotiations collapsed and the pursuit of a deal has officially ended.
Historic Landmark Stockyards Since 1910
The Oklahoma National Stockyards, established in 1910, has been a cornerstone of the state’s ranching economy. It remains one of the last surviving large terminal stockyards in the United States.
