Oklahoma Roblox Lawsuit Claims Platform Failed to Protect Children
An Oklahoma Roblox lawsuit alleges the gaming platform failed to protect a 12-year-old boy who encountered an adult predator posing as another child. The mother filed the lawsuit in California, where Roblox is headquartered.
Grooming Allegations Spur Legal Action
The lawsuit claims the adult shared explicit images with the boy and manipulated him into sending photos of himself. The mother argues that Roblox, which markets heavily to children, did not provide adequate protections to prevent grooming.
Roblox Has 380 Million Monthly Users
With more than 380 million monthly users, Roblox is one of the largest platforms for children worldwide. The lawsuit says its safety tools—filters, moderators, and parental controls—were not enough to stop adults from contacting minors inside games.
