Oklahoma lieutenant governor race shows T.W. Shannon lead in fundraising and polling

The Oklahoma lieutenant governor race is taking shape as former House Speaker T.W. Shannon emerges as an early frontrunner in both fundraising and polling.

New campaign finance reports show Shannon raised nearly $400,000 in the first quarter, reporting a balance of approximately $370,000.

The Republican primary is set for June 16, with the general election scheduled for November 3.

Oklahoma lieutenant governor race sees strong fundraising totals

The Oklahoma lieutenant governor race is being driven by early fundraising strength among Republican candidates.

State Senator Darrell Weaver is also posting strong numbers, reporting nearly $350,000 on hand as of April 30.

On the Democratic side, Kelly Forbes is the lone candidate, reporting just over $4,300 in campaign funds and advancing to the general election.

Campaign finance reporting and election oversight are handled by agencies like the Oklahoma Ethics Commission.

Polling shows Shannon with commanding lead

The Oklahoma lieutenant governor race is also being shaped by early polling data.

A recent survey from Cole Hargrave Snodgrass & Associates shows Shannon leading with 42% support.

Representative Justin “JJ” Humphrey follows at 7%, while Senator Darrell Weaver holds 6%, and businessman David Ostrowe registers at 2%.

Polling and voter analysis are commonly used to track trends ahead of elections overseen by the Oklahoma State Election Board.

Support spans multiple Republican voter groups

The Oklahoma lieutenant governor race data shows Shannon performing strongly across key voter segments.

Among higher-income voters, his support climbs to 59%, while among consistent primary voters, he holds 46% support.

Polling also shows Shannon drawing backing from both Trump-aligned Republicans and more traditional party voters.

However, a significant portion of the electorate remains undecided, with about 37% of Republican voters yet to choose a candidate.

Primary election could still shift race

The Oklahoma lieutenant governor race remains fluid despite Shannon’s early lead.

Analysts say undecided voters and continued campaigning could still impact the outcome ahead of the June primary.

Officials say the race will continue to evolve as candidates work to build support statewide.
