Major Oklahoma Drug Bust Near Wilson
Authorities seized nearly 15,000 marijuana plants and several hundred pounds of processed product during a raid on an illegal grow near Wilson. The Oklahoma Attorney General’s Organized Crime Task Force led the operation.
Agents Seize Drugs, Armor, and Pesticides
Agents also discovered body armor and illegal Chinese pesticides used on the plants. Investigators say those chemicals violate U.S. safety regulations and pose serious health risks.
Several illegal immigrants were taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Arrests connected to the grow operation are expected once the investigation wraps up.
Oklahoma Cracks Down on Illegal Operations
Oklahoma has seen a sharp rise in illegal marijuana grows since medical marijuana became legal in 2018. Law enforcement has focused on dismantling criminal networks that use the state’s lenient licensing system as cover.
State officials continue to push for stricter oversight and enforcement, saying Oklahoma’s reputation and public safety depend on it.
