Oklahoma Soldiers Prepare for Deployment
Members of an Oklahoma National Guard military police unit are preparing for deployment to the Middle East. Before heading overseas, the soldiers will complete additional training at Fort Bliss in Texas.
The mission is part of Operation Spartan Shield, a long-term effort to support security and stability in the region. Oklahoma families and communities are rallying behind their soldiers, recognizing their dedication and service to both the state and the nation.
Fort Bliss Training Builds Readiness
The Guard says the pre-deployment training at Fort Bliss will prepare soldiers for conditions they will face overseas. Exercises include convoy operations, tactical maneuvers, and regional security coordination with allied forces.
Military officials emphasize that readiness is a top priority. “We’re sending some of our best,” said one commander. “These soldiers represent the strength and commitment of Oklahoma.”
Oklahoma Support for Those Who Serve
The unit is expected to return home next fall, marking another chapter in Oklahoma’s long tradition of service. Across the state, communities continue to host sendoff ceremonies, providing care packages and support for families awaiting their loved ones’ return.
