A state agency is looking for ways to make up for tax money that isn’t flowing like it used to.
Over a year, 440 Oklahoma motorists have been reporting their daily mileage to the state Department of Transportation.
It is part of a study to determine how to charge drivers for using Oklahoma roads, instead of the 20 cents per gallon of gasoline tax. Fuel efficiency and electric vehicles are cutting into the Oklahoma Department of Transportation funds.
