New OKC Monopoly Game Accidentally Features Tulsa Skyline
A new Oklahoma City Monopoly game edition has hit shelves — but with a major mistake right in the center of the board. Instead of highlighting Oklahoma City landmarks, the game’s designers used the Tulsa skyline as the featured image.
The misprint comes just one year after Tulsa received its own officially licensed Monopoly edition in 2023, raising questions about how the oversight happened.
Reprint Planned After Graphics Error
The makers of Monopoly have confirmed the error and say the OKC edition will be reprinted, but there is no timeline for when corrected versions will be available for purchase.
The game’s misprint has become a talking point among board game fans and Oklahoma residents, especially given the long-standing friendly rivalry between the two cities.
Oklahoma City Landmarks Missing From Board
Instead of iconic OKC locations such as:
the Skydance Bridge
the Devon Tower
the Capitol
the Wheeler Ferris Wheel
…the central image is unmistakably Tulsa’s skyline. Aside from that, no additional errors have been reported.
