Multiple Groups Urge Removal of Ryan Walters from Office

More than 350 national, state, and local civil rights groups and public figures are now urging the removal of Ryan Walters as state School Superintendent and are calling for a full investigation. 

The organizations and persons signed on to a letter sent to legislative leaders, saying a climate of hate and bigotry is thriving in Oklahoma mainly due to the person responsible for education. Their letter is in reaction to the death of Owasso High School Student Nex Benedict.
