United Cajun Navy Locates Missing Boy in Caddo County

Twelve-year-old RJ Davis, who had been missing since January 2, was located early Monday with the assistance of a volunteer search group known as the United Cajun Navy. The organization, known for assisting in disaster and missing-person searches, turned him over to local authorities after finding him safe. According to Cajun Navy volunteer Thomas Gentile, the moment of reunion was emotional, marked with a “big hug” when the boy was found.

Medical Evaluation and DHS Custody for Missing Boy

After being located, Davis was examined by medical professionals to ensure his well-being. Officials from the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) confirmed that he is now in their care, where his health needs and safety will continue to be addressed.

The missing boy’s parents — his mother and stepfather — remain in custody on a variety of charges related to his absence, including child abuse allegations. Law enforcement had classified the disappearance as suspicious, prompting assistance from state partners, including the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), which aided the search.

Community Support During Search for Missing Boy

The community responded strongly to the disappearance, sharing information and offering support during the days of uncertainty. Multiple law enforcement agencies and volunteers coordinated search efforts, highlighting how quickly community action can aid in locating vulnerable missing children.

Officials continue to review details from the case as Davis remains under DHS care. They also remind the public that missing children cases often require rapid reporting and broad cooperation between agencies and communities.
