Man Dies Following July 4th Fireworks Explosion

A 22-year-old has died from injuries in a fireworks explosion in Tuskahoma on the Choctaw Nation. Ely Smith was severely burned when the commercial fireworks exploded while being unloaded for a fourth of July celebration. Two others were critically injured. The Choctaw Nation is investigating what caused the explosion and fire.
