Oklahoma lawmakers are backing legislation to close loopholes in the competitive bidding process. State Representative Jay Steagall of Yukon says taxpayers deserve transparency when their tax dollars are spent. 

An audit found the Office of Management and Enterprise Services didn’t break the law but wasn’t getting the required bids for some purchases.
