Lawmakers Look for a More Federal Education Funding Transparency

Lawmakers are asking for some help to get answers about federal funding for education. Democratic Caucus leader Trish Ranson said important information on federal grant money is being withheld by the Department of Education.

“Our intent is to reach out to auditor Byrd and Attorney General Drummond as a way to help with that,” Ranson said.

Not knowing what federal money is coming disables school districts, Ranson said, as previous administrations were more transparent.
