House and Senate Approve New Division of Office of Management and Enterprise Services

The Legislature has moved quickly to begin closing loopholes in the state's competitive bidding law. By unanimous votes, both the House and Senate approved a bill to place a division of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services under the competitive bidding act and sent it to the Governor. That state agency was cited in a recent audit as being involved in the alleged misspending of millions of tax dollars.
