football coach to go on trial

A jury trial is set to get underway today in Jefferson County for a former Ringling head football coach. Phillip Koons is facing a misdemeanor charge of outraging public decency. He’s accused of verbally abusing seven students including using racial slurs. Koons withdrew and earlier plea of no contest.
