Efforts to build a casino have hit another snag

A new twist in the battle over creation of another casino on Cherokee nation land.  The Keetoowah band of the Cherokee Nation has been in a multi-year legal fight with the full Cherokee nation over the issue.  The attorney general held the compact the Keetoowah’s signed with the state was outdate by five years and they failed to follow proper procedures to acquire the deal.
