Democrats are asking questions about the way the state has spent almost 40 million dollars in federal education funds. State Representative Melissa Provenzano is one of the lawmakers who wants to know more about the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Program.
Provenzano asked many questions about the program, including who is responsible, if the state will be required to pay back the federal dollars, and more.
The Democratic Caucus announced last week that it has sent letters to the state auditor and attorney general requesting more information.
