The Tulsa County Commission says it costs 63 dollars per day to hold state prisoners, while the state of Oklahoma only pays 27 dollars a day. Commissioner Kelly Dunkerly says the state and local governments have been fighting over this for 12 years.

Tulsa County has filed a petition contesting the decision, but it may wind up before the State Supreme Court.
