Congressman Frank Lucas Pushes to Separate NOAA from Commerce Department

As he has seen the impact of climate change firsthand, Congressman Frank Lucas has a new bill he feels will help two federal agencies produce better ways to tackle the problem.

Lucas would like to see the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration separated from the Commerce Department. He added that the National Weather Service and NOAA should focus on science to address global warming instead of being tied to a political federal agency.
