A group of marijuana regulations made it through the Legislature during the last week of the regular session. Radio Oklahoma’s Dale Forbis provides the details.
The bills will improve quality assurance testing, limit access to minor patients, and make sure the patient involved has an actual medical. The bills also consist of recommendations that doctors obtain proper education on the use of medical marijuana.
Out-of-state and international doctors will no longer be permitted to write prescriptions. State Representative John Pfeiffer said the bundle of marijuana regulations is focused on protecting the safety of Oklahomans.
