Major cuts set for National Severe Storms lab

The budget plan for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is being cut by nearly half.  Numerous veteran weather, hurricane and ocean scientists are warning the cuts are life threatening and will set forecasting back a generation or more.  The plan includes eliminating the National Severe Storms lab in Norman, a critical data gathering agency.
