If you’re headed to the lake for the holiday weekend, you may want to watch where you step. A report from World Atlas names several Oklahoma lakes where snake encounters are more likely. Topping the list is Lake Collinsville, near Tulsa. Others include Lake Texoma, Lake Thunderbird and Lake Hefner. Experts say you should wear shoes around the shoreline, avoid tall grass, and don't approach snakes in the wild, even if it appears harmless.
