Ardmore Woman Wanted After Husband Dies in High-Speed Crash
An arrest warrant is now active for 37-year-old Tamara Wood of Ardmore, who prosecutors say caused the September crash that killed her husband after a confrontation escalated into a chase.
Dispute Began at Children’s Basketball Game
According to investigators, the Ardmore woman confronted her husband at one of their children’s basketball games after discovering messages he had exchanged with another woman. Witnesses reported a heated argument before the couple left separately.
Pursuit Ended With Deadly Collision
Authorities allege Wood pursued her husband at high speed, eventually ramming his vehicle, causing it to spin out and crash. He died from injuries sustained in the wreck. Prosecutors formally filed second-degree murder and reckless driving charges this week.
Search for Wood Continues
The Carter County Sheriff’s Office confirms Wood is not yet in custody. The investigation remains open as authorities work to locate her.
